An animal welfare organisation in India is sterilising and vaccinating dogs to help reduce the spread of rabies. There are 28 million stray dogs in the country, which contributes a huge risk to the spread of the disease. The World Health Organisation believes that immunising 70% of the dog population could stop the virus circulating.
