Drunken Butterflies played on the main screen at the National Media Museum yesterday to an audience of 18-20yr old students - our target audience.
With 3 of the cast (above) and diector Garry on hand to field questions and run a couple of workshops, we hope eveyone had as good a day as we did. And a big thank you to the National Media Museum and Bradford College.
The screening comes hot on the heels of our very successful showing at the London Independent Film Festival - where the audience laughed in all the right places and applauded the film for its intelligent and sensitive portrayal of 6 late-teenage Newcastle girls on the cusp of the adult world. Usually this age group gets pretty rough treatment in the media - DBs gives them a voice and takes them seriously. It's an approach that's long overdue and is attracting a lot of attention.
